Briefly about the main
Worldview-3 is the first commercial satellite to operate in a wide spectral range with high resolution. This is the first “superspectral” commercial spacecraft.
The WorldView-3 spacecraft is designed for shooting in panchromatic and 8-channel multispectral modes. Camera equipment is completely similar to that installed on the WorldView-2 spacecraft. The accuracy of geopositioning on the plan is 6.5 m CE90 or 4 m (UPC) without additional correction of the planned coordinates on the ground reference points. WorldView-3 spacecraft shoots in VNIR (Visible and Near Infrared) modes (multispectral visible and near infrared range; 8 channels), SWIR (Shortwave Infrared – medium infrared range; allows you to shoot through haze, fog, smog and dust, smoke ; 8 channels) and CAVIS (clouds, aerosols, vapors, ice, snow – allows for atmospheric correction; 12 channels).
