Planet Dove

In 2014, Planet started deploying a space group of Nano-satelites PlanetScope (formerly Flock). Each satellite is the Cubesat 3U platform (10x10x30 cm) equipped with an optoelectronic cameras. Over 130 spaces were fired from the International Space Station (ISS) in June 2016. In June 2016, the Indian PSLV support vehicle fired 12 spaceships, and on February 15, 2017 88 FLOCK satellites were fired by a single PSLV carrier vehicle. 3P (Total 104 different satellites have been lifted on orbit as a result of this record start).

Briefly about the main

Satellites are located on various orbits. On July 14, 2017, the Russian carrier rocket of the SOYUZ fired 48 satellites to orbit, and on October 31, 2017, another 4 satellites were fired. Currently, the full group covers more than 200 fixed satellites and provides greater efficiency and high frequency of measurements. Data from the PlanetScope satellite group are available on the Planet Platform website.
