Project for data processing of air laser scan to Zambia territory

TVIS has completed an aerial laser scanning project of Zambia, home to one of the world’s most famous and largest waterfalls, Victoria.

The aim of the project was to obtain the exact distances from the terrain to the power lines. Classification of cloud clouds with an average density of 40 points / m2 was carried out in the protection zone of power lines within a corridor of 500 meters. After preprocessing the data and automatic classification, which divided the cloud of points into classes (earth, vegetation and noise), the other points were classified manually, according to the terms of reference. The total length of the classified power lines was 606 km. The work was performed in full and on time.
